MICHAL KEREN-DAVID
Michal Keren-David, a former Israeli Diplomat for 16 years, was raised in Israel. Michal joined the Israeli Army at 18 and served as a company commander in the Field intelligence corps. When starting her BA in International relations and English Literature, she simultaneously started working for the Israeli Foreign Ministry and has also completed Yale’s accelerated management program in the USA.
In 2014, Michal was appointed to serve as a Diplomat in the Israeli Consulate in New York. This was the family’s first relocation and interaction with American culture and life. In 2018, as her appointment was complete, the family returned to Israel, later to be appointed again by the ministry to the USA, this time to Chicago, Illinois as the Israeli Consul for Consular Affairs and Administration. In her position, Michal assisted Israeli families and surrogacy couples, worked with various non-profit organizations and helped families arriving for medical tourism in their transition into the US.
While doing so, Michal Identified gaps in services provided to internationals in the US and made it her mission to bridge those gaps. Michal founded Keren-David Consulting LLC and assumed the position of CEO to assist families and individuals in navigating bureaucracy, reducing costs, and ensuring their family/personal needs are met. Her vision is to assist the LGBTQ community and families while providing a one-stop shop for their US Journey.

ALISON TERKEL RUBIN
Alison completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kansas, majoring in Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs in 2010. She earned her masters degree in Jewish professional studies with a concentration in experiential education at The Spertus Institute for Jewish Learning and Leadership in 2015. She worked in the non-profit field for 13 years in Chicago, including the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, Hillel, and The American Jewish Committee, an international diplomacy-focused NGO. Her work ranged from advocating for affordable housing and financial literacy to planning international diplomatic and interfaith missions for young professionals. Alison began working with Keren-David Consulting as a client coordinator in the summer of 2023 and became a surrogacy consultant in the fall of 2024. She has a passion for advocacy and a desire to build relationships with people worldwide. Alison was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and currently resides in Chicago, IL with her husband and baby daughter.

LAUREN E. NEW
Lauren was born in El Paso, Texas, and moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area during high school. Following high school, she went to college to fulfill her dream of becoming a registered nurse in the labor and delivery field. She worked as a nurse for six years while she returned to school for her masters degree at Georgetown University. In 2017 she graduated and took her exams to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. She has since been working at the county hospital providing patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and delivering many sweet babies.
Lauren is married to Seth, and they have two little boys (Judah and Charlie) who keep them very busy. Lauren is also a certified mohel(et), performing Brit Milah in Dallas and surrounding communities.
Lauren joined Keren David Consulting in the Fall of 2024 to provide support for intended parents during their birth/hospital journey and to support them during their entire stay in the United States. She is passionate about advocating for the parents and ensuring their transition to parenthood is as easy as possible.

SAVANNAH L. PAUL
Savannah joined Keren David Consulting in early 2026 to provide comprehensive medical support for intended parents and surrogates throughout their surrogacy journey. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife, she brings deep clinical expertise in prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum support. Savannah is passionate about empowering families to make informed healthcare decisions, navigating the complexities of the American healthcare system, and advocating for the best possible medical outcomes at every stage of the journey.
Originally from the Philadelphia area, Savannah earned her bachelor's degree in Biology and Psychology from Loyola University Maryland in 2008. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2014 and completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2022. She has extensive experience working in both hospital and community-based settings, providing comprehensive care for birthing individuals and newborns throughout pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period.
Savannah lives in the Chicago area with her husband, Zach, their two children, Willa and Charlie, and their goldendoodle, Pete.

ZARAH HILLIARD
Zarah joined Keren David Consulting as Surrogacy Intake Coordinator, bringing a unique perspective as a two-time surrogate who has personally experienced the emotional depth of the surrogacy journey. She is passionate about supporting intended parents and potential surrogates at the very start of their path, creating a welcoming, judgment-free space where people feel heard, informed, and truly supported. Drawing from her own surrogacy experiences in 2022 and 2025, as well as her previous work as a surrogate recruiter, Zarah understands firsthand how exciting, emotional, and sometimes overwhelming this process can be, and she is dedicated to guiding families through the intake process with clarity, care, and honesty.
In addition to intake coordination, Zarah serves as the team's billing specialist and surrogate recruiter. With a background as a Certified Nurse Assistant and Medical Assistant, and currently pursuing her nursing degree at Pikes Peak State College to become a labor and delivery nurse, she brings both healthcare knowledge and genuine empathy to her work. From a young age, Zarah has been driven by the ambition to change lives—a dream she now lives out every day in her role.
Zarah lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with her wife and child.
